Herbs Section – Supplements – Natural or Synthetic ?

Nutrition is a very important part of one’s diet. Without nutrition, diet has no value. A proper meaning of nutritional diet is the food which contains an adequate amount of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber. If a diet contains less of nutritional value and more of fats it is not to be considered as a wholesome diet.
There are 2 main types of nutrients such as Macronutrients and Micronutrients; however, Macronutrients are further divided into 3 type’s carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. And micronutrients are further bifurcated into 2 subtypes Vitamins and minerals. Macronutrients can be available from our food but here we will mainly focus more on micronutrients. Vitamins and minerals are very hard to find in an adequate amount from Vegetable and fruits.
In today’s day, we receive very less amount of vitamins from fruits and vegetables than a decade before. This is due to chemicals, pesticides, artificial fertilizers are being used. This not only makes soil less productive but there are the very less nutritional value of the products which are grown on it. There are many other reasons which led to this disaster such as harvesting before they are completely ripe just to transport across the borders, excessive use of pesticides, excessive chemicals in the soil thus the actual potency of soil is getting reduced dramatically thus vegetables and fruits are not getting enough amount of vitamins and minerals.
Thus, if we will not get enough amounts of nutrients from natural sources than we have to search for the supplements that can fulfill our bodily needs. Now, here comes the story of supplements so that we can get enough nutrients, but to get the best level of supplements is also very necessary. There are many companies who manufacture and sell supplements but before getting into it we should be properly aware of the company and also whether they are (GMP) Good Manufacturing Practice certified or not, if yes then by whom.
As we are going deeper into the supplements that really encourage me to talk about medicinal plants which are also used as daily supplements to make our body fit in all aspects (tonic or even sexual) such as Ashwagandha, Maca, Gooseberries, garlic and many more.

Final words, I am not a Doctor or not a nutritionist, but as per my experiences, I can tell that nutrients level from vegetables and fruits are reducing exponentially and the main cause of it is a man and its greed. However, Mother Nature does have some more medicinal plants which can help us with supplements which we need and also Nutraceuticals utilize those plants and with an appropriate mixture, they help us to keep our body in shape.
